Angel Stadium

(formerly Edison Field of Anaheim, Anaheim Stadium)

A view from behind the plate at the then named Anaheim Stadium. One of the perks of not drawing well, is that you can walk up to the ticket window right before game time, and purchase a ticket to a great seat. That's just what we did in September of '96. It was one of the last games prior to the removal of all those seats enclosing the playing field.

 

 

One of the more recognizable feature's of old Anaheim Stadium is the haloed scoreboard. Originally situated right behind the left field fence in the original layout of the stadium, it was relegated to parking lot attendant duty when the playing field was enclosed to add additional seats for the "St. Louis" Rams.
