Candlestick
Park
Candlestick Park
(later 3Com) was a ballpark that was a great place to see an afternoon
game, but not so nice for a night game. Below is a patchwork exterior
panorama from 1986.
As seen in this
postcard, Candlestick was originally designed with an open outfield,
that faced the bay from Candlestick Point.
After the stands
were stretched around the outfield, "The Stick" was
now subject to circular wind patterns.
